That token, not your password, is saved in your browser for the session. Nothing is stored or shared with any external server. All data stays on your device. You can revoke your App Password anytime in your Bluesky settings.

Bluesky App Passwords are safer because they give limited access, can be revoked anytime, and don't expose your main password. Session tokens also expire on their own; for security, this session will automatically end 15 minutes after your initial login.
